Review by hotel critic
As a traveler from the United Kingdom, I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Butler's House in Ulverston. the charming 19th-century holiday home is just a stone's throw away from the Laurel & Hardy Museum, making it a perfect location for exploring the town. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the lovely couple who own the property. They were welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. the house itself was cozy and beautifully decorated, with a nice log fire and comfortable furniture - perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. One of the highlights of our stay was finding that the kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials, including a delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake. It was such a thoughtful touch that made us feel right at home. the bathroom was spacious and well-equipped, and we appreciated the availability of towels and other amenities. The location of the Butler's House was ideal, with easy access to both the town center and nearby attractions like the World of Beatrix Potter. We enjoyed being able to walk to local pubs and restaurants for a meal or drink in the evenings. the attention to detail, warm hospitality, and convenient location made it a memorable experience. I will definitely be recommending this hidden gem to my friends and family for their next Lake District getaway.
